adam caskey is out in storm chaser 7. things just cloudy out there right now. hey, adam. >> yeah, cloudy, but the wind is picking up. we're outside the washington monument here on the national mall. we'll actually take a closer look at the flags that surround the monument, and that will give you a good clue as to how the wind is picking up. it's not a windy morning, but you will notice that wind gradually increasing. out here in the open especially around the monument you can see the flags starting to whip there. the winds will be at about 10 to 20 miles per hour out of the north throughout the day today, with some higher gusts, as the coastal storm starts to ramp up. currently the coastal storm is just east of the tidewater region of virginia off shore. i'm going to get to the forecast in one second. first let's take a look at a beautiful picture from my facebook friend, mike. he posted this last night on my facebook page. i just love it. look at the beautiful sunset we had. the clouds started to roll in. with that low-angle light from t
